– Scripture:
Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”

Carrying the Right Stuff
Hearing the word burden is something we just know to our core. Something we do daily as human beings. Jesus didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles but waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is how Scripture puts it. We are designed to help one another, so why aren’t we doing that more? We all need dependable, steady people to help pick us up and keep us up as we go through this life. Those are the people that I want in my corner. Those guys make life easier. We all have some sort of burden to carry, but when you have a cheering squad with you, you get an extra lift that pushes you over.
Where do we go from here?
Help someone out, give them a hand up, cheer for them. You never know when you may need the same thing.
Our Prayer for Today
God, thanks to you, we are a mighty group that gives honor to you the most high. We appreciate the gifts that have been given to us, especially those that give to others. Thank you for making each of us a blessing to be a light for someone else in this world. I hope each of us helps someone today who may need help with their burdens. It is in your mighty name we pray. Amen.
