 – Scripture:

God’s Spirit came over Gideon. He blew his ram’s horn trumpet, and the Abiezrites came out, ready to follow him. He dispatched messengers all through Manasseh, calling them to the battle; also to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali. They all came.

 – Reflection:

This scripture has real effects on me because there are times when I have felt like every step I took was because GOD told me to in my spirit. This scripture is about Gideon though, who was chosen to lead the Israeli army against the Midianites; he was hiding and scared. An angel came to him and said GOD is with you; come from under the fear, insecurity, and the defeated mindset that keeps you from growing into who you are supposed to be. At that moment, Gideon made a huge decision to take that step of faith and believe he was who GOD said he is. When he did, GOD breathed new life into his situation, and that gave him the courage necessary to defeat the Midianites. We have to trust that what GOD is telling us is true and move through it as such. Don’t try and cheat off someone else’s life; you have your own that is just for you.

Where do we go from here?

Even though every fiber of who you are says to stay in that cave of fear. Believe what GOD says to your spirit and take that step of faith. This is for your life, no one else’s; yours. When you do I bet you will start to see all that he has for you.

Our Prayer for Today

Father, thank you for me in situations where I have to deal with my fear daily, it is a task that I don’t take lightly and pick up every morning because you said it was right for me to do so. Father, I want to empower all of those that are struggling and in their own caves to come out and notice everything you have for them and take their tasks up today as well. Allow all of us to come into the glory that you have for us. In your name, we pray. Amen.
