– Scripture:

Peter and the apostles answered, “It’s necessary to obey God rather than men. The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, the One you killed by hanging him on a cross. God set him on high at his side, Prince and Savior, to give Israel the gift of a changed life and sins forgiven. And we are witnesses to these things. The Holy Spirit, whom God gives to those who obey him, corroborates every detail.

– Reflection:

               Not Moved

Remember this: Sometimes, you have to make a choice, just like the apostles did. Will you stick to your beliefs and be true to who you are, or will you let other people’s opinions and approval shape your actions and identity? If you rely on others to validate you and lack confidence in yourself, you’ll hold back and let their views dictate your future. However, it will require courage to accept what God has in store for you. He will take you to places no one in your family has ever been. He will turn you into a trailblazer, a trendsetter.

Where do we go from here?

“Not everyone will understand why you refuse to compromise with them. Not everyone will approve of you if you don’t conform to their way of thinking. People who were once supportive may become critics and try to discredit you. Now they’re finding fault. That’s when you have to stand firm and say, ‘I’m not swayed by who’s not for me. I’m living to please God.'”

Our Prayer for Today

Father, thank you for being the true and living God and rewarding those who honor and obey you. Thank you for calling us to follow you and to not shrink back when others want us to let go of our convictions. We believe that as we are doing the right thing, you will reward us with favor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
