But in our time, something new has been added. What Moses and the prophets witnessed all those years has happened. The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us but for everyone who believes in him. For there is no difference between us and them in this. Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity, he put us in the right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of our mess and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.

What and With Who Do I Confess?
When we confess to ourselves and GOD for the first time, it is a little tough, and maybe even feel foolish talking to ourselves in a room, car, or in the mirror. If you thought that felt funny, try confessing something to your wife, brother, or another family member before GOD for the release to happen for you. Men, we are especially in first place for this one. If we don’t know you, there is no way we are telling anything from our past that may need forgiveness from that person. Hell might be a better option than doing that, but when we give our lives to Christ, the impossible doesn’t seem so impossible anymore. You will want to let the person(s) or group(s) of people know how you know you wronged them and are now asking for their forgiveness. The enemy wants us to stay in the dark and never come to the light that way, and all that pent-up frustration can turn into something evil and wrong. Thinking you can partially come to Christ will not work. We have to be all in.
Where do we go from here?
You must figure out what to confess and to whom. What is easy: whatever you haven’t already. There shouldn’t be anything in your life that someone doesn’t know. Who requires you to ask God and to search your own heart. He’s put men/women into your life specifically for this type of transparency. Reach out to them today and have a conversation.
Our Prayer for Today
Father, we are overwhelmed by Your grace. You reached down into the mess we found ourselves in and lifted us up to where You always intended us to be. Through Jesus Christ, You restored the broken relationship between humanity and Yourself. You redeemed us, forgave our sins, and granted us access to the abundant life You have prepared for us. Amen.
